.Best Place To Hold a Flat-Earth Sermon

VIEW Muir Beach Overlook is a Marin must-see.

On a recent trip to Texas, someone described the desert there as a place for a person to “watch your dog run away for two-and-a-half hours,” and it tickles me every time I think back on it. And really, we can all understand the appeal of a flat, disc-shaped world if we get down to it. A disc has edges. We have, all of us—ALL of us—at one point or another wanted to throw up our hands while standing on the lip of such a grandiose expanse as the edge of the planet and shout, “I’m king of the world!,” like good ol’ Leo.

The good news is that a great place to serve as a next-best option for those things is the Muir Beach Overlook, a vista point noted for making one feel like they’re standing on the edge of the world itself.

Get out there, nature lovers! Whether it’s to bask in the grandness of nature, to just have a day out of the house or to wrangle up a rag-tag cult of impressionable followers, the Muir Beach Overlook is the place for it.

Testify!
