As they say, ‘Plugging your book is the best revenge …’
Carlo Gardin built a straw man, put my name on it along with Joe Breeze’s, and then beat the stuffing out of it in public [“The Glory Klunkerz,” Jan. 9].
A reasoned response would be too long to see print, and would dignify Mr. Gardin’s message. No one who knows me or Joe Breeze believes we are “bad apples,” as Mr. Gardin described us. Anyone who wants to know who I really am can buy my book, on sale at any bookstore in Marin. Joe Breeze wrote the foreword. It’s called Fat Tire Flyer: Repack and the Birth of Mountain Biking.
