A Beautiful Oktoberfest

October 12 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

$10 – $30

The festival that keeps the belle ville of Marin blooming is back for its 26th year!
On Saturday, October 12th at Menke Park, Oktoberfest Corte Madera will bring
together community and friends for another round of cheery tastings, local gourmet
eats, delectable treats and fun kid activities to the heartbeat of oompah, big band, jazz
and blues live music. Festivities are from 12 to 5 pm. Online tickets are now available.

For serious tasters, this year features some longtime participants like Moylan’s,
Marin Brewing Company, Sierra Nevada and Lost Coast, plus an amazing
assortment of other craft and home-brewed beers, wines, mead, ciders and
kombucha. Gowan’s, a premium award-winning hard cider, and Henhouse, a
growing favorite for unique flavored beer will be there for the first time. For the
health-conscious like kombucha lovers, Boochcraft Hard Kombucha is also
coming to the Oktoberfest. Their “kombucha beer” has a kick- 7% alcohol, a buzz
with probiotic benefits! There’s also word about a ‘gluten-reduced’ beer coming.

Local restaurants and caterers join in the festive mix. Grab some Lions Club’s
scrumptious sausages and bratwurst, best-selling bites from Pig in a Pickle,
solar-baked pizza by Stefano’s, exotic Burmese cuisine with a gluten-free option
by Burma Town, among others. Donuts, pretzels, cupcakes, cookies and ice cream
fill in the gaps to complete your gastronomic adventure.

The Oktoberfest Corte Madera completes the joyous afternoon with uplifting, toetapping,
leg-kicking music. The iconic Corte Madera Town Band opens the festival
with its well-loved big band tunes, followed by Grand Isle Fire Brigade Band with their
popular German Polka and oompah. The festival also welcomes the amazing
Redwood Music performance and jazz bands to showcase their musical talents to the
community with youthful jazz and blues renditions.

For parents with young kids, the festival has a dedicated lawn area complete with a
bouncy house, relay games and arts & crafts tables. Kids under 12 years enter
free, but need to be with a paying adult. Pets are not allowed in the festival.

Proceeds go towards the beautification and maintenance of Corte Madera’s public
spaces for the health and enjoyment of the town’s residents and visitors.
